Thin Ice Warnings [2016]
January 5, 2016–Residents on Silver Lake are reporting patches of hazardous thin ice due to the abnormally high activity of deep springs in the lake bed. Greater care than normal should be exercised when accessing the lake ice this year.

Walleye reef on ice… that’s nice!
March 2015 – Larrabee Sportsman’s Club vice president Dan Dufek and fellow members built a walleye spawning reef on top of the ice. As the ice melts, the structure will be deposited on the bottom of the lake.
New Harpt Lake Boat Cleaning Station
Dan Dufek and fellow sportsmen have placed a boat cleaning station at the public boat landing on the north side of the lake.
Spring Tree Drop Makes News…
During the spring of 2014, the DNR and lake sportsmen worked together to drop trees into the lake to provide structure for the lake’s fish population.
